This week I have been thinking about God’s Glory in my life.
If you’re a believer then you serve the God of GLORY! You know what glory is…
We not only serve the God of Glory but we serve a God whose glory never fades.
1st Peter 1:5-9 tells us that we…
“are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.”
God’s Glory never goes away. Men try to diminish it and destroy it and it may seem for a time that the light of glory has faded away, but don’t count God out.
Men try to take God’s glory away from Him by building their own kingdom and I must admit that some have done a pretty successful job, but when it is all said and done these men have died and yet God still continues. GOD’S GLORY…
- Never goes away
- Never diminishes
- Never disappears
- Never fades
While men choose to to seek their own path and become men of paper glory, these men seek the glory only to see it fade at life’s end.
People such as…
Those mentioned above, and many other I could mention, that is all they will get, for me I don’t want that. If you’re a believer you shouldn’t want that either. Our desire as a believer should be that we are GLORY builders and our kingdom is not of this world. Our glory is not ours but His because that is what we are called to.
“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.” I Peter 5:10
This week let us be about the Father’s business with the intention of building upon the glory that He has given you. Let us not be “MEN of PAPER GLORY”. How do we do that?
- A kind word
- A prayer for somebody that’s hurting
- Pay it forward in the drive thru
- Get involved in your local church
- Help a neighbor where needed
These are things that you have to consciously think about to do. Don’t get wrapped up in the week but let the week wrap you up in God’s Glory and be the glory builder God intended you to be.
It is not about how big or how much we do. It is about just doing. The song says, “Little is much when God is in it.” Be the little in that song and then make sure God, is in it.
God’s not into your…
- hateful talk or actions
God is into you…
- and doing His work
GOD’S GLORY! Oh God, help me to be a glory bearer this week.
