Dale Carnegie once said…
“One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon, instead of enjoying the roses blooming outside our windows today.”
How true yet how sad.
When Paul wrote to the Corinthian believers at the church he reminded them that, “behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
His words were not addressed to the lost. He was writing to believers, reminding them…
- of their mission
- of the price Jesus had paid for their sins
- of the new life that was theirs in Christ.
And he urged them to wait not a moment longer to begin living life to the fullest. He had already told them in 1st Corinthians 10:31 “and whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
The sad reality is that we listen to the Devil more than we listen to God. God tells us ‘today’ while the Devil tells us ‘tomorrow’ and because of that we take on an attitude that leaves God out and then we wonder why we feel so far away from Him.
If you’ve been waiting for your life to begin, for your ministry to begin, for everything to fall into place, I have 2 words for you…
“Behold Now is the accepted time; Behold Now is the day of salvation.” 1 Corinthians 6:2
Your life is now.
- Today is the day of God’s favor.
- Today is the day that God wants to bless you.
- Today is the day that God wants to use you.
This day is the day that God has made to fulfill his purpose in your life.
Isn’t it the time to stop waiting and start living. This week do something for God…
